My Thyroid is stressed!

2 weeks ago, i thought i had tonsilitis. i can't swallow nor move my neck and it hurted really bad whenever someone touches my neck. I had fever and frequent headaches. when i felt a lump, i suspected i have thyroid problems.(It runs in the family) and my suspicions appeared to be true. :(  Just got my (sonogram)thyroid ultrasound results a while ago and it is considered as a " Medical thyroid disease , Bilateral with nodules, as described." It's quite disturbing.
Isthmus shows tiny cyst measuring 0.17cm.
Left lobe measures 3.98 x 1.03 x 1.48 cm with hypoechoic nodule in the mid pole measuring 0.55 x 0.39 cm.

• Hypoechoic means that less waves are being reflected back and less echoes are being produced.. Anechoic means that no echoes are being produced - typicaly seen when the sound waves pass though fluid as clear as water.

• A hypoechoic nodule is a nodule or small cyst that is reflecting back less echoes - meaning that the nodule contains some amount of thick substance inside. An anechoic nodule will contain clear fluid.

Maybe my Endocrinologist will advise me to have a biopsy ( fine needle aspiration to be exact) tomorrow. hopefully there will be no surgeries required.

Before all that, i was having a hard time looking for a perfect hospital/clinic for me to have a sonogram. Perfect, meaning the price range should be affordable... or rather cheap. Tone called each and one of the clinics' numbers posted on the internet. It was a sunday and most of the clinics were closed. The last one on his list was HI-PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS ( His first ever job as a medtech was in hi pre! haha) We were like "Why in the world HI PRE was the last on our list??" Anyway, we were so relieved and felt lucky when the receptionist told him that they are open until 12pm! and the price? 400! cheap. yey! I instantly texted my achie to accompany me. HI PRECISION is i think  the nicest/ cleanest/ precised/affordable diagnostic lab in the RP right now. They already have 7 branches all over the metro.

This movie..Julie & Julia :)

Last night, after making sure our three kids were safely tucked into bed, I decided to watch a little to relax me. The movie on HBO was JULIE and JULIA and it was just starting. :)

Julie Powell is a writer who hates her job as a call center agent where she answers calls from victims of the 9/11 world center attack.

She loves to cook and  thought of doing a blog. That's the reason why i wanted to watch it even more.because part of it is about blogging. Maybe i could grab some techniques in the story :) Anyway, she decided to cook every recipe of  Julia child's Mastering the art of french cooking (1961).

 It was romantic at the same time because you can see that their husbands were very supportive of them!

When Ayen and I were looking for a pasalubong for Ayli and Ayji in Sta. lucia East Grand Mall, This bread store caught my attention.

LET'S DOUGH IT!
Sounded like the famous phrase of the former DOH secretary Juan Flavier's " let's DOH it!" haha
Anyway, what really caught my attention was this MAHU BREAD

This is just like THE BREAD TALK's famous FLOSS. This one is a bit dry though. and not as cheesy and yummy as that of bread talk's , but pwede na din. :) and it's way cheaper! I bought 3 of these and Ayen really loves the taste!

They are famous for their BUNS. They have in UBE, hotdog filled, COFFEE and a lot more! They also have pastries and cakes. I wasn't able to take pictures though.
Coffee is served as well.

Tomorrow , we will visit again , after Ayen's recognition practice. :) Yummy!:) I just can't wait!

One CRraaZy day :)

Crazy? definitely! but not desperate! I don't need money. Have my own savings. Experience? Not at all! I just became obedient after having kids. (i was a rebel!) My mom wanted me to join for as long as i can remember! She wanted to see me sing on live tv. The category was singing moms. Although i'm not really good in the performing part, i thought i'd give it a shot(mom's my no.1 fan).

After Tone left for work, Mom immediately rushed to my house to fetch me and my 3 kids. She brought food, as usual. Gave me white flower in case i get dizzy . I was hesitant at first, but when i saw the people lining up, i just got out of the car and immediately went to the crowd.

Clear blue skies. Not windy at all. You just can't imagine how hot that day was!  It was so freakin' hot , you could  fry an egg on the pavement! The good thing was, I FORGOT TO BRING MY UMBRELLA and NO SUNBLOCK was even better!! !! How about that!!

 Not only did i absorb all the Vitamin Ds, but the Radiation and the UV rays as well!! hello cancer!!

Anyway, I went directly to the end of the registration line, hoping to be chosen as one of the contestants. I met mommy weng and her son. She's nice and a suki to TV contests. She told me she needed money. Life is hard. I thought " i don't need that kind of money, so what in the world am i doing here, letting my precious skin to suffer!!" I got thirsty. good thing i was beside a food stand. bought bottled minute maid from ate nanay (that's what her sukis call her). During the first few hours, the line was still organized and people were still smiling. but when moms came pouring in, chaos struck! It's already 12 in the afternoon and my face started to feel swollen and super hot! I so wanted to leave! but then a part of me wanted to stay. I'm starting to lose my patience. Desperate to get in, i used all my charm on one of the MIB boys and told him my name was already called. He let me go near the door. I began to feel more relaxed, when suddenly my phone rang. It was Anthony. *gasp*.. I couldn't let him know.He'll be furious!
"Where are you??" he said. I was hesitant  to tell him, but i told him anyway. "I'll fetch you right away! i'll call again if i'm already infront of the place " he told me. The only thing that came out of my mouth was " ok " . Here i go again, part of me wanted to stay.
My hours of fame was so close, I can almost taste it! kidding.

My phone rang again.

 That experience was one of a kind, but i WILL definitely Not join again.

What you need to know about the SM Kids Camp:
 
1. Promo period is from March 11 to April 11, 2011
2. Participating Branches are:

• NORTH EDSA, MEGAMALL, MAKATI, MALL OF ASIA, CUBAO, STA. MESA, FAIRVIEW, SAN LAZARO, TAYTAY, MARIKINA, NOVALICHES, QUIAPO, HARRISON, MANILA, BICUTAN, SUCAT, LAS PINAS, BACOOR, DASMARINAS, ROSARIO, STA. ROSA

3. Workshop days are M-W-F or T-Th-S

4. Facilitators are experienced teachers from Voice Power and Trumpets/Playshop.

5. There will be a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 participants per session.

6. Workshop dates: 1st Batch: March 28 to April 7 
2nd Batch: April 8 to 19
